AI Family Locator is the iPhone family location-sharing app listed on the App Store as Family Locator–Phone Tracker, app ID 6816534113. Its 3D family map uses animated characters and vehicle models as location markers; its Family AI chat helps with everyday parenting questions. The map helps you follow shared locations with a more personal visual style: characters for walking, vehicles for driving and aircraft-style models for flying. It brings a sense of movement and personality to everyday family check-ins.

The 3D description on this page is our first-party product explanation, not a claim that Apple’s listing independently confirms every model or control. Check our product facts and limitations for the distinction between the app listing and feature descriptions. These models are not 3D satellite imagery, building reconstructions or live camera views.

What the 3D map adds

The experience brings visual customization and useful family tools together. Choose models, adjust their size and keep the family map alongside location history, arrival alerts and battery alerts. The goal is a map you enjoy opening and can understand at a glance.

Part of the experience What it adds
Animated 3D markers A visual representation of a moving family member
Model choices Personalize walking, driving and flying appearances
Size controls Adjust how prominently models appear on the map
Standard pins A simpler view when 3D models are disabled or not active
Built-in Family AI A place for everyday questions within the same app

Make the map feel like your family

The 3D model collection includes characters and vehicles. You can choose an appearance for each movement category or use automatic selection. A chosen model can apply to your own marker or, with the relevant preference, to everyone on your map. These preferences change how the map looks; they do not alter another person’s location or permission to share.

3D models are a Premium feature and must be enabled. Their appearance also depends on current movement information, so a standard marker can still be the appropriate view. See plans and access before purchasing.

A visual model is not a camera

A car model does not identify the real car someone is using. An aircraft model is a visual movement category, not a verified flight record. Location and motion signals can be approximate or delayed; the graphics do not establish an exact driving condition or explain why someone stopped.

The map does not provide live camera or satellite footage. It also cannot generate a new shared location from an offline or powered-off phone. Check the update time, and use our location troubleshooting guide if information becomes stale.

Family AI, built into the experience

The Family AI chat gives you somewhere to ask about everyday family life: planning a menu, discussing a first phone or finding ideas for homework routines. It complements the family map without turning a visual marker into a factual explanation of someone’s activity. AI replies can be mistaken and should not be used as emergency advice.

Start with a location-sharing invitation, agree on sharing together, and make the map your own. Our product facts and limitations explain the consent and device requirements behind the design.

FAQ

What do the 3D models represent?

They are customizable map markers for movement categories such as walking, driving and flying. Their appearance is a visual choice, not a photograph of someone’s actual vehicle or surroundings.

Are 3D map models a Premium feature?

Yes. 3D models require Premium access and the feature to be enabled. Standard map pins remain available when 3D models are inactive.

Does the 3D map show live camera footage?

No. The models are rendered graphics placed on a map using shared location and movement information. They do not provide live video or satellite footage.
